Boutique Hotel Rates and Policies

Our Rates vary between $90/night – $149/night for double occupancy, depending on the time of the year.  Check rates here. 

  • Children 4 years of age and under stay for free.  Children between 5 and 12 years of age pay $10/night.
  • Additional children between 5 and 12 years of age pay $10/night.
  • Additional children and adults over 13 years of age pay $20/night.

Rates above are based on double occupancy and are inclusive of:
– Three-course breakfast
– Welcome drink upon arrival
– Tea and Drinking water available all day
– Access to all amenities
– Daily housekeeping
– On site management
–  Free Parking
–  Free use of internet in common areas

Rates do not include 10% Panama Hotel Tax

Reservations require valid credit card information OR the first night’s payment at the time of booking.

Guests can cancel free of charge until 2 days before arrival. Guests will be charged the first night if they cancel in the 2 days before arrival.

Reservations made during the Christmas/New Year require 100% payment at the time of booking and are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

In both cases, please understand that you are not confirmed until payment or valid credit card information is received.

Our check-in time is 3:00 PM and check out time is 12:00 Noon.  We will be happy to accommodate an early check in, or a late check out for an additional fee of $20.  Book Today!

Pet Policy

Don’t leave your pet behind!  Istmo Yoga and Adventure Retreat is a Pet-Friendly Hotel in the Panama Pacific Beach Area.  Our Pet Policy follows.

  • There is a $10 per pet per night fee.
  • Please let us know ahead of time that you will be traveling with your pet – you can book your pet as an extra when you make a reservation. Please understand that upon making a reservation for your pet, you have agreed to these policies.
  • Please call us 1 hour before your arrival with your pet, so that we can make sure our dogs are secured before you and your pet’s arrival.
  • We allow a maximum of two pets per room.
  • You are responsible for any and all damage caused by your pet. We will ask for a credit card number to be left at the front desk and will charge any damage to the card.
  • Your pets are not allowed to sleep on the beds or jump onto the furniture. Please bring a bed for your pet.  We will charge an additional fee of $40/bed if we see pet hairs in the beds while cleaning-up.  No exceptions!
  • Your pet must be on a leash, at all times, while on our property.
  • Please pick-up after your pet. Bring your own bags, please. You are welcome to drop off the trash at the back of the main house, but please do not leave your bagged (or unbagged) pet excrement outside your room.
  • Our dogs run free between 9:00 pm and 7:00 am, during that time your pets need to be inside your room to avoid any potential problems.
  • If your pet is uncomfortable with other dogs roaming outside their room, we may not be the best option as a pet-friendly hotel for you. We have had many dogs stay at our hotel and it has been a great experience for all involved.  If your dog barks and is skittish with other dogs, we are not the best option for you.
  • We do reserve the right to refuse a pet or to ask you to leave if your pet is causing discomfort for any of our guests, our family, or our property.
  • If you would like to participate in a retreat and bring your pet you have to choose either the single or double option, making sure you are not sharing your room with a stranger.

Terms and Conditions for Retreat Participants

Please read these booking conditions carefully as they are the sole terms and conditions of the contract between you and Istmo Yoga and Adventure Retreat (host).

Prices and payment

All prices are set in USD and you will be charged in USD. You will pay a 35% deposit for the holiday or trip booked via our secure payment solution. The balance should be paid 15 days before the commencement day of the holiday or trip.

Travel insurance
It is a condition your contract with Istmo Yoga and Adventure Retreat (host) that you and all members of your party have suitable and sufficient travel insurance to cover your holiday as no host can be held responsible for any liability, expenses or losses you incur as a result of being inadequately insured. It is strongly recommend that a comprehensive travel insurance policy is purchased.

Please note that for holidays that involve any physical activity whatsoever (e.g. sports and fitness holidays), the host may insist that you provide them with a copy of an adequate insurance policy to cover the activities involved in the holiday before you partake in any of those activities. Without adequate insurance, the host reserves the right to cancel your holiday without compensation or refund.

Passports, visas and health requirements
It is the responsibility of all passengers, regardless of the passport they hold, to check with the appropriate consulates to determine if any visas are required. As visa and health requirements are subject to change without notice, it is recommended that verification prior to travel be made of existing foreign visa and health requirements.

Hosts will have no liability to you if you or any passenger travels without the correct passport or visa or health requirement and you will have to pay to the host any costs they incur through assisting you. Should you not have the correct visa in order to commence your holiday, you will have to pay to the host the full cost of the holiday and no refunds will be given.

Circumstances beyond the host’s control
No compensation of any kind or responsibility can be taken if due to a circumstance beyond the host’s control, they have to change your holiday after departure, or the host cannot supply your holiday in full or in part as agreed, or you suffer any loss or damage of any description. A circumstance beyond a host’s control is one that cannot be foreseen or avoided, even after taking all due care and includes but is not limited to war, terrorist activity, civil unrest, industrial disputes and bad weather situations or forecasts.

Your responsibility
Please note you are responsible for both your and your party’s actions. If our hosts believe your actions or those of your party could cause danger, upset or annoyance to other customers, guests or staff, the host may end your booked arrangements immediately. In this event, the host will not pay compensation, make refunds nor pay any expenses you suffer as a result.

Price changes
All hosts reserve the right to change or amend prices at any time before you have booked. After you have booked, the price of your booking is guaranteed and the host will not apply any surcharges or price changes unless you make the change to your arrangements after booking.

Changes after booking but before travel
Charges for any changes made to a booking vary. Please check the amendment fees and conditions as shown against each individual holiday before making your booking.

No refunds are given as a result of an amendment to a booking. In some instances, it may not be possible to make any changes to a booking once confirmed unless the original booking is cancelled and a new booking made. Where this is the case, the amendment terms and cancellation charges will be shown against each individual holiday prior to booking. Prices applying to all new bookings made following an amendment will be those prices applicable on the day the new booking is made.

Please check your booking details carefully to ensure that any independently booked related flight, accommodation and/or other arrangements coincide with the dates you have booked with the host and all names have the correct spelling as the host will not be liable for any costs incurred as a result of any mistakes by you.

Changes after travel
No refunds are available once a holiday has commenced, or in respect of any other holiday or trips or services booked or utilised.

Cancellation or no show by you
Charges are levied to cover the costs of any losses incurred as a result of your cancellation or no show which applies to a situation where you chose not to take your holiday but omit to advise the host of the fact in advance of the commencement day of your holiday. Cancellation charges can vary. The cancellation policy and charges will be highlighted in the terms against each holiday or trip prior to booking and these charges will also be displayed clearly on your confirmation voucher and in no circumstances will any refunds be available. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you agree to pay all charges associated with cancellation or a no show, which in the case of a no show is 100% of the total booking value.

Special requests
Please complete the special requests box during the booking process if you wish to make any special requests. We will try to help but please note such requests cannot be guaranteed. Information accuracy We check facts about the holidays and trips offered to ensure accuracy. Should there be a significant change to a booking, we will make every effort to notify you in advance of the start of your holiday or trip. Please note all activity duration times given are approximate and itineraries are given for a guide only and are subject to minor changes depending on the needs of the group, weather conditions and other circumstances.

Changes made by the host before travel
All hosts reserve the right to cancel, change or substitute any service and to decline to accept or retain any holiday or trip members at any time for any reason including, without limitation, an insufficient number of participants. If you have a complaint If you have cause for complaint whilst on your holiday, this must be immediately brought to the attention of the relevant host so that action can be taken to remedy the problem. Failure to report your complaint in this way may jeopardise any claim you subsequently make. Complaints can also be put in writing to your host via the Vidados messaging system (please login on the Vidados website to message the host with details of your complaint).

Your privacy
Your contact details will not be sold, leased or made available to any other party other than the host and Vidados, except where you have explicitly consented for us to do so. Your details will be automatically added to a private email list where you will receive occasional updates and news from Vidados. You can unsubscribe this email list from a link in the email.

Cancellations
Any cancellations made at least 60 days before arrival will result in the loss of the deposit paid (equivalent to 35% of the total holiday amount).
Should you cancel within 60 days of your arrival date or fail to turn up for your holiday, you will be charged 100% of the total value of the holiday and all extras booked.
No refunds will be given for curtailments or cancellations on or after the holiday start date.
To request a cancellation, please put this in writing to your host via the Vidados messaging system (login to your account via the Vidados.com website and message your host).

Amendments made more than 60 days before arrival:
All amendments to passenger names, date of arrival or holiday duration are free of charge if made at least 60 days before your booked arrival date.

Amendments made within 60 days of arrival:
Any amendments made within 60 days will be considered on a case by case basis and charged accordingly.

Amendments made on the day or after arrival:
No refunds or part-refunds will be given for any curtailment or amendment to any part of your booking made on or after your arrival date.

Please note: All amendment requests are subject to availability and are at the host’s discretion. All amendment fees are in addition to any holiday price difference at the time the change is made. If the holiday price is cheaper, no refunds will be made.

These terms and conditions apply equally to worldwide resident bookings. Your contract will be governed by Panamanian law and any disputes will be dealt with in the courts of Panama.

The person making the booking shall be deemed to have accepted the booking conditions on behalf of all the persons named in the booking. No variation to these terms and conditions shall be of any effect unless made in writing by and with the authority of Istmo Yoga and Adventure Retreat.
